For adolescent girls in Tanzania, staying in school can mean overcoming barriers that reach far beyond the classroom. Period poverty, early marriage, early pregnancy, and gender inequality can interrupt their education and limit opportunities for the future.
This project will address these challenges through community outreach and practical support. By engaging parents, girls who have left school, and other community members, the project will encourage a shared commitment to girls’ education and promote opportunities for them to return to school.
The project will also distribute menstrual hygiene kits and sanitary pads, helping girls manage their periods with dignity and confidence. Access to these essential supplies can help girls attend classes consistently and participate more fully in school life.
Through education, encouragement, and access to basic necessities, this initiative will help girls continue learning and build a stronger foundation for their future.
