Creating Safe Places for Healing

Myanmar’s ongoing armed conflict has forced thousands of people from their homes, with many seeking refuge in and around Yangon. Women and girls arrive carrying the trauma of violence, the loss of loved ones and livelihoods, and deep uncertainty about the future.

Many face anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress while also caring for children and other family members. Separated from their communities and support networks, they must navigate daily survival with limited access to safe spaces or culturally appropriate care.

This project provides compassionate, trauma-informed psychosocial support to help displaced women and girls process their experiences, strengthen resilience, and rebuild connections. By addressing these often-unseen wounds, the project helps women and girls take steps toward healing and renewed hope.

Help Us Make an Eternal Impact

Your generous gifts through the Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer Offering help provide care and support for women and girls affected by war and displacement in Myanmar. Together, we can share Christ’s love as they journey toward healing and hope.
