Day of Prayer
(2023)

A Global Prayer Movement | November 6, 2023
(or Celebrate on Another Day of Your Choosing)
For more than 70 years, sisters in Christ have united in prayer for the Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer. What a legacy to build upon as we commit once again to pray this year in homes, churches, and communities around the world!
The 2023 theme is “Breath of Life” drawn from Job 33:4: “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”
As we pray this year, may you breathe deeply the presence of God as you experience the power of collective prayers being lifted in more than 100 nations! We are confident you will be blessed and encouraged as we gather for the reading of God’s Word, hear stories of how the Spirit is moving, and seek the Lord with open hearts in prayer.
To help us best support you and stand together in prayer with you, we would love to have a record of your planned participation. Would you please complete a brief participation form by clicking the button below?
Your Gifts at Work Around the World
In addition, Day of Prayer gives Baptist women an opportunity to give generously in support of the global initiatives of Baptist World Alliance Women and across our seven Continental Unions. These financial gifts continue to make an eternal difference, providing practical help for women in need and equipping Baptist women to impact their world for Christ. Thank you for being a vital part of this event which propels meaningful ministry throughout the entire year! Your Day of Prayer Guide
This year we have created a 16-page guide filled with information to help you plan and participate in Day of Prayer, including specific prayer requests and praises from each Continental Union as well as details about this year’s global ministry projects. The guide also includes a Bible study from BWA Women President Karen Wilson. With a commitment to creation care, we are seeking to reduce our carbon footprint through a strategic reduction in printing and shipping of the 2023 Day of Prayer Guides. However, we understand there are still groups in which a printed copy is preferred / necessary. To request printed copies within the continental United States, please click here. To access a printer file for printing in your community or to access a PDF of the digital copy, please click here or you can view or download via the embedded reader below. You are invited to our annual Global Day of Prayer Worship Celebration!
