The island of Vanuatu in the Pacific, has been seriously impacted economically, first due to the COVID-19 pandemic, then as a result of Cyclone Harold which hit the island in 2020. In response, the faithful Baptist women of Vanuatu have had a desire to help their sisters, particularly the young mothers who are financially struggling. With the funds received from the 2021 Day of Prayer, these women will start a sewing club to enable the young mothers to make clothes for their families and create products to sell at the market, giving them much needed income. The ladies of the church will not only teach sewing skills but fellowship over a snack, discuss the gospel and teach the women how to budget their money especially during this time of crisis.
