In the wake of violence in Lebanon, countless children have been left emotionally scarred, carrying invisible wounds of fear, anxiety, and trauma. These children – Lebanon’s future – desperately need hope, stability, and care to heal and thrive.
The Restorers of Peace project, supported by the Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer, seeks to respond to this deep need by empowering women to become agents of emotional healing and restoration for traumatized children in their communities.
The initiative will equip a group of Lebanese women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide emotional and spiritual care for children affected by trauma. Through interactive training, practical exercises, and guided reflection, participants will:
- Understand how trauma impacts children’s behavior, emotions, and development.
- Learn effective communication techniques and therapeutic tools for emotional support.
- Build confidence in their ability to provide compassionate, faith-based care.
- Experience personal growth and healing through shared experiences and prayer.
